IFAPP – WEBINAR: PATIENTS’ CROSS-BORDER ACCESS TO CLINICAL TRIALS
The unmet global need for patients and clinical researchers
Date: 17th September, 2024
Time: 01:00 – 02:30 PM CEST (check complete times at the bottom of this post)
Patients with life-threatening or rare diseases and patients living inresearch-poor countries are interested in joining a clinical trial in anothercountry because that might be the only remaining treatment option. Andinvestigators would reduce their recruitment struggles if they could enrolpatients from other countries. But in reality, such participation is verydifficult to enable and therefore hardly happens. In this webinar the needs, the financial, ethical, regulatory andorganisational hurdles, best practice examples and a European initiativeaiming at facilitating such participation in practical terms will bepresented and discussed with the audience.
